For months now, the amount of interest in the media world pertaining to Baseball and Sports has grown; the amount of personal influence received was overwhelming. Various peers, followers, fans, and supporters have expressed their desires to hear more authentic perspectives, insights, and analysis on the game they love, zoning in on the teams they love.
I've grown up in Toronto, as a long-time Blue Jays fan. This translated into an 8-year Toronto Blue Jays employee, and now a writer, covering the team through a mass sports engine. My family was a big Blue Jays influence, as die hard fans, and a father who oversaw the Blue Jays financial structure through Rogers Media. As a child, I went from hating TSN, as it cancelled out my Arthur episode at 7pm ET, because Rogers Clemens was on the mound; to falling off my foldable Skydome seat because I was about to catch a Carlos Delgado foul ball...and absolutely loving it.
On the same note, I prided myself in stepping on the 4-train down to the Bronx, once or twice a year, to hear the classic words of "now batting for the Yankees...number 2...Derek Jeter...number 2". This brought great joy and inspiration to my life, as a baseball player, as a person, and to today, as a professional and entrepreneur. Yankees Baseball was a "holy evil" to me, being a huge Yankees fan and follower, but holding the Blue Jays to the highest standard, with tons of New York Family at your throat.
My sports revolved around Toronto and New York, which is why the Mets have a heavy involvement here. Expanded 4-hour flight away, is the beautiful Island of the Dominican Republic, who's baseball involvement is heavily imbedded into this organization as well. I am happy to launch this platform, to provide the raw, non-scripted, authentic perspective of opinionated analytical insights of the game, along with up-to-date subjects of interest, all through literature and voice. Welcome to 1stOverall!
