RHP Sean Duncan
B/T: R/L Height/Weight: 6’2”/175lbs Graduate/Draft Year: 2026
Club Team: Langley Blaze
Physical Maturity:
Sean Duncan has a decent vertical standing 6’2” and a strong slim-build 175 lbs. His body is trimmed athletically with signs of durability. His arm is loose and agile, and he moves decently well with room to improve. His lower half has a gap to fill; once his lower half becomes stronger, increased velocity will follow.
Initial Evaluation Synopsis
Duncan has fluid movement with his arm. His arm action is clean, quick and consistent. He reaches back on each offering and keeps his delivery and release repeated. He incorporates a high leg kick, swinging down hill and uses his momentum well, keeping his body symmetrical.
This southpaw displays confidence in his pitch options and throws with the intent to get ahead in the count. He establishes counts early on and commands everything with ease. His three main options are located successfully and he works both sides of the plate effectively.
Within a year’s time, his fastball has gained a couple of ticks forward, topping at 93 mph, consistent between 90.5-92 mph. The fastball has arm-side run and works well inside to lefties. He can spot-up on the right side and gets a ton of off-zone chases.
Duncan can throw his curveball with two breaking actions and can work it for strikes. He rarely gets burnt as he keeps in off the zone and within chase territory.
His sinker is another option that works low for strikes and he maintains it between 90-91 mph. This pitch forces a lot of ground outs. He also is able to get short fly-outs. He’ll get ahead and toys with hitters in certain circumstances, but is known to go right after them.
This arm is clearly division one caliber and has potential draft attributes.
